Digital Citizenship helps teachers, technology leaders, and parents to know and understand what children, technology users, and students need to know in order to use technology properly.
It is more than just a teaching tool. It is a way to help prepare technology users and students for a society that is full of technology. Digital citizenship is what is normal of responsible and appropriate technology use. It is too often that people see students, as well as adults, misusing and abusing technology, but having no way of knowing what to do. The issue is that a lot of users do not know what is considered to be appropriate when it comes to technology usage.
